Ethereum: Power Query/Excel: import data from API with api & secret keys

I can guide it through the data import process of the Binance.com Ethereum account through Power Query and Excel. Note that this will require Binance’s API key.

Here we show you how to configure a power and Excel connection:

Power consultation:

  • Open the power consultation editor.

  • Click “New”> “of the Web”> “API”.

  • Enter the following URL: https: // fapi.binance.com/v2/balances"

  • Add the following API key to the "Authentication" box and be sure to select "Secret Key". You can find your API key in the information panel of the Binance board in the "account configuration"> "security tokens"> "API Keys".

  • Click "Accept".

Excel:

Ethereum: Power Query/Excel: import data from API with api & secret keys

  • Open Excel's workbook.

  • Create a new sheet and give it a label (for example, "Binance account data").

  • In the first cell, enter the following formula:

= Getjson (” “,” Secret_Key “)))

– Replace " Secret_Key " with your real Binance API key.

  • Copy the previous formula and place it into other leaf cells to display the data.

This is what makes the formula:

Getjson is a performance consultation function that reads the JSON data of the specified URL.

– The URL begins with ” which is the end of the Binance API for the balances of the accounts.

" "Secret_Key"It is your real API key, in advance with ‘” api_key = “.

- TheGetjsonreturns the JSON object that contains information about the user's balance.

Formula data

After entering the formula to the specified cells, it shows the data of the Ethereum account. These data contain:

- Symbol (for example, "eth")

- Balance (in eth)

- More relevant details

Keep in mind that Binance may not allow you to connect directly to your API using Power Consult or Excel without authentication. TheGetjson` can be used in the connection, but requires the API key as a parameter.

To obtain more complex demands or management, consider using a reliable data integration tool such as Tableau or Dax in Excel or Power BI to find flexibility and safety.
